Vringo Sues ZTE for Patent Infringement
SHENZHEN, Oct 09, 2012 — Mobile software developer Vringo Inc. announced yesterday that the company had filed a lawsuit for patent infringement against ZTE Corporation (SZSE: 000063 and SEHK: 0763), saying that the latter had infringed upon three of its patents.
The lawsuit was filed to the Chancery Division of the High Court of Justice of the United Kingdom, claiming that ZTE’s cellular network technology and its GSM/UMTS multi-mode wireless mobile phone solutions had violated Vringo’s patents.
In terms of judicial lawsuit, the threat faced by ZTE may not be that big since the company is merely confronted with one lawsuit at present. However, Vringo has not specified concrete damages
